These are the greatest grow lamp bulbs I've ever used. Goodbye lousy fluorescent bulbs and noisy ballasts forever. They run cool and use less electrical energy. I bought them for my cannabis plants and they love them. They're growing so tall and bushy I have to keep trimming them back. Good style growing bulb with just the right bandwith for sturdy growth of my guto kloa plants indoors The smooth triangle shape of the bulb distributes the light evenly Great idea for indoor gardening Now my hardship is not with the bulb but was the great difficulty finding a compatable fixture to mount the light as in recent months many companies are no longer making interchangable lights and going with full intergrated lights this light did come with two adaptors but no converting hardware to convert a florescent fixture After much digging around i found a conversion kit and my gutokola plants are loving the new light gimic, do not buy. 30 Mar 18
do not buy these for seed starting. Use regular daylight LED shop lights. Those will work just as well for a lot less. White, full spectrum light is better for plant growth. This grow light is very well made and works great in the greenhouse. The plants seam to grow better with LED lighting than with other bulbs. I ham very pleased with this bulb and will buy more. This grow light is a state of the art in energy savings. LED and no need for a ballast which is another layer of savings. It with comes with complete instructions for installation. You can reuse an old ballast type fixture or get a cheap non ballast fixture also available at Home Depot. I got a new strip fixture and had everything installed in less than 5 min. It is focused spectrum with peak wavelengths of 450nm (blue) and 650nm (red).That means you should be able to grow most types of leafy plants. You can also use it to grow from seeds. Toggle makes the best LED lamps for use without a ballast, lamp comes with a pair of lamp holders if you need them, as you only have power to one end of fixture and nothing to the other end. I have one lamp that is full spectrum and this one is a focused spectrum for green leafy plants, in the picture is one of each this oone is purple when on and the other is with with a hint of purple, plant starting season is in a couple weeks and cant wait to see if this new one give me better growth.
